I don't have a particular preference for whixch poster, but the finished version should include a URL on our site that includes references for our data, and why CCTV is ineffective.

agreed...

Also, i think we should stick to the same basic poster template, or have the two versions, for reason already mentioned...

3% of crime being solved by CCTV isn't all that bad though, I also don't see how, given most CCTV is privately owned, we could stop shopkeepers, etc. using it.

This whole policy seems ill thought out.

How about something like:

STOP BIG BROTHER

[ no-CCTV logo ]

FROM WATCHING YOU

I don't think we should stop shopkeepers using it. They actually use them to deter crime...

Fair enough, but where could we get concrete numbers from though?

its a case of who you want to believe, concrete facts are hard to come by tbh.

IMO, we should dress up statistics just like all the other parties do, until such times as we have accurate statistics of our own.

remaining vague, but erring on the side of caution sounds quite foreign to all the current statistics RE internet use.

I'll provide a much larger version if this gets a positive response.

I liked my one which threw a government surveillance poster right back at them. :)

Well done, good work. Let's add the large version to the page for downloading posters. I'm a big believer that we'll find what succeeds by letting people try out ideas and see what kind of response they get from the public, so let's just put this poster on the site, see who puts it up in public, and see the public's feedback.

I like icanhas' poster. As mentioned it's clear and straight to the point and doesn't include figures that we can't really prove as well. icanhas can you get a bigger one done up as i'd be interested in using this.

The full size version is available here.

The source .psd is available here (you'll also need the MgOpen Moderna font from here).

Feel free to do anything with this, especially use it as a template.
