The elected core of NEC may appoint additional members, in a non-voting capacity, to help them. Members appointed in this way have none of the rights of an NEC elected officer. For the purposes of triggering a vote of no confidence these members are to be considered elected officials and non-voting members of the NEC.
This is intended as a replacement to the phrase 'together with members selected in accordance with rules to be made by the NEC from time to time' which will hopefully be removed by successful vote on viewtopic.php?f=76&t=3373
Previous phrase had awkward wording that NEC can select new members and this clause replaces that to clarify these selected members are not full voting members, and also that they can be VONCed.
